The recent launch of the Lamborghini Revuelto triggered a lot of headlines and rightfully so. It promises to be quite an extraordinary performance car and while it should easily outsprint its predecessor, there’s still much to love about the Aventador, particularly the SVJ model.

Lamborghini took off the covers to the Aventador SVJ in August 2018 and it hit the market as the fastest production car to ever lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife. Not only is it extraordinarily quick around a racetrack but it has perhaps the most outlandish design of any Lamborghini since the Countach LP5000 QV, combining striking aerodynamic elements with various fins and carbon fiber accents.

From the factory, there’s very little we would change about the SVJ but for the owner of this particular example, it was the supercar’s wheels that needed an update. Gone are the gloss black rims that come standard on the SVJ and in their place sit a set of wheels from Strasse. These wheels have carbon fiber centers, hidden hardware, and carbon fiber center lock caps. They are also massive, measuring 20×9.5 at the front and 21×13 at the rear.

Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster Tries Carbon Wheels On For Size

Carbon fiber wheels have grown in popularity in recent years but it’s worth pointing out that these wheels aren’t actually constructed entirely from carbon like some and instead, the carbon is there primarily for looks. We think the wheels complement the supercar well, particularly thanks to the ‘Strasse’ text that is finished in orange that matches not only the car’s exterior paint but also its brake calipers.

As a reminder, the Aventador SVJ features a tweaked version of Lamborghini’s 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 that is good for 759 hp at 8,500 rpm and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque. Perhaps of more importance than its extra power is its use of Lamborghini’s ALA aerodynamics system that aids in boosting downforce by 40% over the regular Aventador.
