• LX and SE models gain a larger screen and a phone charger.
  • Sport Hybrid trims now feature black exterior accents.
  • Prices rise slightly, with some trims up by just $100.

The Honda Accord has long played the supporting role in a segment it once helped define. Despite its strong hybrid option and well-tuned ride, the Honda sedan is consistently outsold by the Toyota Camry, by more than two to one. But that kind of disparity has never quite matched the Accord’s actual merit.

Now, for 2026, Honda has quietly refreshed the Accord in hopes of sharpening its appeal, though it’s steered clear of the cosmetic updates recently applied to the Chinese-market version. The changes are subtle, prices have edged upward, but the increases are minor enough not to raise any real concerns.

The new model year range begins with the entry-level LX and SE models, both of which continue with Honda’s 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four.

These trims now come standard with a 9-inch infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a 15W wireless charging pad. The SE also picks up new 19-inch alloy wheels, giving it a bit more visual heft out of the box.

Honda has also tweaked the Accord Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid models. Both get black exterior accents, including black badges, black wing mirrors, gloss-black B-pillars, and a black shark fin antenna. The mid-range EX-L and the flagship Touring have gone unchanged for 2026.

All hybrid versions of the 2026 Accord retain Honda’s twin-motor powertrain that delivers 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. The car makes do without a traditional transmission, or even a CVT, instead relying on a direct drive system.

For those choosing the gas-only LX or SE models, output is rated at 192 hp and 192 lb-ft, still paired with a CVT.
