- Fire-damaged 2020 McLaren 600LT listed for sale in Los Angeles.
- Non-repairable title with present engine and severe exterior burn.
- Not roadworthy but could be ideal for parts or rebuild projects.
We’re all in the market for a good deal, and a McLaren of any kind for half off typically sounds good. In this case, though, half-off doesn’t describe the price so much as the actual McLaren in question. After what could have only been a terrifying crash, the resulting supercar is a mere shadow of itself.

Listed as stock #40177751 is a 2020 McLaren 600LT, and it’s going over the block as half the car it used to be. The engine is included, though it’s “extra crispy” according to IAAI.
The digital dash is inoperable, the key is missing, and of course, the rear axle is gone, so determining mileage or a clear path back to road use is basically impossible.
That said, there’s plenty here to potentially work with. From the B-pillar forward, most of the car appears intact, though we suspect it doesn’t smell that way. There is some damage to the seats, but even the dashboard looks like it escaped any major damage. All four wheels come with the sale, too.
What Would You Save First?
For our money, we’d turn this into a multilayered attempt at extracting cash. First, take everything that’s salvageable but not immediately recognizable as a McLaren part and put it up for sale as spare parts.
It might sound odd, but there are plenty of wealthy owners out there who are up for getting a deal on a used but fully functional part. Depending on the final sale price, simply parting out the parts in question could get the buyer back to even.
Then, we’d remove the identifiable spare parts, like the fenders, hood, front bumper, doors, wheels, mirrors, and whatever else looks good. Then, we’d make them into art or furniture pieces for those wealthy buyers who want cool garage art.
If this BMW V10 can sell for $4,500 in coffee table form, we’re willing to bet similar projects around this McLaren could do far better. What would you do with it? Let us know in the comments below!
