Do you need a vehicle that genuinely stands apart from anything else on the road? If that sounds like you, then this weird yet wonderful 1981 Chevrolet Corvette ramp truck might check every box. It could hardly be more American if it tried.
Listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace in Queen Creek, Arizona, this bizarre C3 Corvette sits on the chassis of a Chevrolet C30 truck. How much actual Corvette is left is anyone’s guess. At a glance, the bodywork passes for a C3, but it is clearly far from factory stock, and probably hasn’t been for quite some time.

Take the front end, for example. The overall shape mirrors an early 1980s Vette, but the front wheel arches and quarter panels look like they have been on a steady cheeseburger diet, coming off bulbous and a little flabby. Thanks to the truck underpinnings, it also rides far higher than any normal Corvette of this vintage, which does the proportions no favors.
Where this creation lacks the sporty styling and performance of a standard C3, it makes up for it with practicality. Images shared on the Facebook listing show that while the front half resembles a Corvette, the rear half is clearly a traditional ramp truck, capable of easily hauling large ATVs. Subtle, it is not.
The seller notes the truck has a rebuilt front end, new shocks, and new brakes. Power comes courtesy of a 400 cubic-inch small block Chevy V8, although there’s no word on how much grunt it has. At the very least, it should sound powerful, thanks to a throaty rumble perfectly fitting of a muscle car.
However, any prospective buyer should know that the vehicle looks a little worse for wear. Not only is the interior in a sorry state of disrepair, but large sections of the ramp are rusted. With a $7,000 asking price, it’s not particularly cheap either, especially since there’s no telling how well or how poorly it has been maintained.
Someone built it, someone’s selling it, and someone out there is probably already clearing garage space. It is equal parts Corvette cosplay and farm equipment, which might be the charm. Still interested? Check out the listing over here.
