- The Nissan Gravite is a rebadged Renault Triber for India.
- Budget minivan offers seven seats and a crossover stance.
- It runs on a 71 hp 1.0-liter engine and starts at $6,200.
Nissan’s comeback in India begins with a new, budget-focused entry. The Gravite is a seven-seater sub-compact minivan with crossover styling, heavily based on the recently facelifted Renault Triber, with only a few styling tweaks separating the two.
For a model teased through a length-focused campaign, the Nissan Gravite ends up looking very much like a badge-engineering exercise. The most noticeable change compared to its Renault twin is the redesigned front bumper, now featuring a larger honeycomb-pattern grille. It is paired with horizontal bumper intakes framed by vertical C-shaped elements, along with slightly revised DRLs.

The profile is identical to the Triber, save for a new set of alloy wheels and a revised color palette that includes a Patrol-inspired Forest Green shade.
Space For Whole Family
At the rear, there is a new bumper with more rugged cues and Gravite lettering across the tailgate. The pictured model is the Launch Edition, limited to 1,001 units and distinguished by orange accents and special decals.

Despite measuring 3,991 mm (157.1 inches) long, the model features a three-row, seven-seater layout. The third row comes standard, though it can be removed entirely for those who prefer a genuinely usable boot, expanding cargo capacity to as much as 625 liters (22.1 cubic feet).
The dashboard is also carried over from Renault, including the 8-inch infotainment display and the 7-inch digital instrument cluster on higher-spec grades. On the flagship trim, buyers get a dual dash cam, a JBL audio system, ambient lighting, an air purifier, neck cushions, LED lights, and roof rails. Safety equipment is consistent across the range, with six airbags and ESP fitted as standard.
Budget Underpinnings
The Nissan Gravite rides on the CMF-A+ architecture shared with the Magnite SUV and the Renault Triber, Kwid, and Kiger. Under the hood sits a naturally aspirated 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine producing 71 hp (53 kW / 72 PS) and 96 Nm (71 lb-ft) of torque.

Power is sent to the front axle through either a five-speed manual or an EZ-Shift automatic. Performance is unlikely to trouble anything with a stopwatch, but that was never really the point.
Aggressive Pricing Strategy
Nissan’s strongest card with the Gravite is not design flair, but its value-for-money proposition. Pricing starts at ₹5,65,000 ($6,200), undercutting the Renault Triber, which begins at ₹5,76,300 ($6,400).
Even the range-topping Gravite Tekna Launch Edition with the automatic gearbox and full equipment list comes in at ₹8,93,500 ($9,900), which keeps it firmly within budget territory.
The crossover minivan will soon be joined by two additional Nissan models for India: the Duster-based Tekton, scheduled to debut later this year, and a slightly longer Bigster-based SUV expected in early 2027
