- Zyrus’s new model has a twin-turbo V10 with Koenigsegg-levels of power.
- Teasers show the mid-engined car with X-shaped front and rear lights.
- The car will weigh just 3,139 lbs and deliver 3,306 lbs of downforce.
Norway’s Zyrus Engineering arrived on the scene nearly six years ago with a wildly reworked Lamborghini Huracan. Now, it’s lining up something even more bonkers. Called the Strada R³, the company’s latest project has been teased ahead of production, which is set to begin in July.
While it’s possible this creation could be a ground-up design, it shares some obvious similarities to the Huracan, indicating it will be based on Lamborghini’s last V10-powered supercar. That’s a good starting point, as even the hybridized Temerario, with its highly strung V8, can’t match the drama of its predecessor.

The shape of the headlights looks very much like a Huracan-based model, as does the overall pointed shape of the fascia. However, we can see Zyrus has added X-shaped LED daytime running lights to the massive front air intakes. It’s also clearly developed a bespoke hood for the car to boost aero, and it looks exceptionally mean.
Viewed from the rear three-quarters, the Strada R³ appears to sit wider than a Huracán, making it look more similar to the scale of the Aventador. Either way, we can see a huge fixed rear wing and X-shaped taillights, mimicking the ones at the front.
Leading credence to this car being based on the Huracan is the fact that it has a bespoke V10 engine, albeit one that has been twin-turbocharged. This engine will deliver 1,500 hp. With the mid-engined rocket ship weighing just 3,139 lbs (1,424 kg) and producing up to 3,306 lbs (1,500 kg) of downforce, it sounds like an enticing proposition.
According to Zyrus Engineering chief executive Radni Molhampour, the Strada R³ is “a tribute to ten years of pushing the limits of design, engineering, and performance. With the V10 twin-turbo at its heart and carbon fiber in its DNA, this supercar sets a new standard in our journey.”
