Mini has introduced the 2026 Red Line Edition, which is based on the Cooper S 4-Door. It’s pretty and pricey, all in the name of exclusivity.

Starting outside, the special edition has a Legend Grey Metallic exterior that is typically reserved for John Cooper Works variants. Buyers will also find Chili Red accents as well as black 17-inch wheels that are backed up by JCW sport brakes.

The model comes equipped with the JCW Style Package, which adds an aerodynamic body kit that includes front winglets, a rear spoiler, and a sporty diffuser. Other highlights include JCW decals, a tow strap, and an exclusive Red Line badge.

Moving inside, the cabin has black Vescin sport seats with contrasting red accents. They’re joined by special headrests and a JCW steering wheel.

Mini’s New Red Line Edition Costs More Than The JCW It’s Dressed Up As

The special edition is based on the Iconic Trim with the Comfort Package Plus. This suggests the car will come nicely equipped with heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 9.4-inch touchscreen display. Other niceties should include augmented reality navigation, a wireless smartphone charger, and a Harman Kardon premium audio system.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS) and 221 lb-ft (299 Nm) of torque. It’s paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 6.5 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 150 mph (241 km/h).

Pricing starts at $43,365 before a $1,175 destination fee. That’s pretty steep considering the two-door JCW variant begins at $38,900, while the BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe starts at $40,000. If the price tag hasn’t scared you off, the company is currently accepting orders and cars are expected to arrive in May.
