Nissan and Overland Expo have taken the wraps off the Frontier Ultimate Build2. It’s a custom-built, overlanding pickup based on the Frontier Pro-4X.
Built in partnership with AllDogs Offroad Coop, the truck means business as it features a heavy duty front bumper with integrated recovery points and a 9,500 lb (4,309 kg) ComeUp winch. The Frontier has also been outfitted with auxiliary lights, Nismo rock sliders, and Black Rhino Tembo wheels that are wrapped in Nokian all-terrain tires.

More notably, the bed is home to a Tune Outdoor M1L camper that features a pop top as well as a two-person sleeping platform. It weighs as little as 322 lbs (146 kg) and provides over six feet of standing room when the roof is raised.
Other highlights include Battle Born batteries, a Midland radio, and an ARB onboard air system. There’s also an outdoor shower system with a heater to keep you smelling fresh during your adventures.
Last but not least, there’s an off-road focused suspension from AllDogs Offroad. It features new coil and leaf springs, high-clearance upper control arms, heavy duty lift shackles, and stainless steel tie rod extensions. They’re joined by Fox Performance Elite coilovers and rear shocks as well as extended stainless steel brake lines.
Power comes from a familiar 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 281 lb-ft (381 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.
The Frontier Ultimate Build2 will make its debut at Overland Expo West tomorrow and eventually be shown at a series of other events. Once its tour is completed, the truck will be auctioned on Bring a Trailer this fall with proceeds benefiting the Overland Expo Foundation.
