Italy’s First All-Electric Supercar is Called Tecnicar Lavinia

The Lavinia EV supercar has been in the works at Tecnicar, in Italy since late last year. It’s an 800 PS machine that’s expected to hit 100 km/h or 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 300 km/h or 186 mph.

Based in the Sicilian region of Siracusa (or Syracuse), Tecnicar is a company with experience in the field of electric propulsion. It makes electric road vehicles, small tourist trains, boats and provides mobility for the disabled.

The Lavinia will be a departure for the company whose sole electric car up until this point was the bubbly-looking Genius, which is more of a microcar, really.

Details surrounding the upcoming supercar are limited, and the only other key bit of information that needs to be specified is the range it’s claimed it will have: 300 km or 186 miles on a full charge, according to Autoblog.it.

No exact time frame for its release was specified, though, and up until this point all we have are renderings (posted in the gallery below).
