Xpeng is spreading its wings as the P7 sedan and G9 crossover have been launched in Europe. The models are currently on display at the eCar Expo in Stockholm and can now be ordered in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
The European P7 closely echoes its Chinese counterpart and features a Dynamic Aesthetics design with a low drag coefficient of 0.236. Customers will also find flush-mounted door handles, a power trunk, and 18-inch wheels. Those looking for something a bit more flamboyant can opt for the Wing Edition, which features scissor doors.
Moving into the cabin, the model comes nicely equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15-inch infotainment system, and artificial leather upholstery. They’re joined by heated front and rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless smartphone charger, and an ambient lighting system. Xpeng also noted the P7 has a heated steering wheel and a heat pump for “more relaxing winter driving in the colder regions of Europe.”

On the performance front, the P7 Long Range has an 82.7 kWh battery pack that powers a rear-mounted electric motor developing 272 hp (203 kW / 276 PS) and 324 lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque. This setup enables the model to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.7 seconds and travel up to 358 miles (576 km) in the WLTP cycle.
When the battery is low, the 175 kW DC fast charge capability can take it from a 10% to 80% charge in as little as 29 minutes. At home with an 11 kW AC charger, owners can expect to go from a 30% to 80% charge in a little over five hours while a full charge will take around 10 hours.
Buyers with a need for speed can opt for the P7 Performance or P7 Wing Edition. Both feature a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that produces a combined output of 467 hp (348 kW / 473 PS) and 558 lb-ft (757 Nm) of torque. This cuts the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time to 4.1 seconds, but the range also falls to 314 miles (505 km).
While not as eye-catching, the G9 features a streamlined design with soft-close doors, flush-mounted door handles, and a standard panoramic sunroof. Buyers will also find a hands-free power liftgate and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The interior echoes the P7 and it comes equipped with heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and leatherette upholstery. Other niceties include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15-inch infotainment system, and a 15-inch display for the front passenger. Rounding out the highlights are a heated leather steering wheel, an ambient lighting system, and a wireless smartphone charger.
The G9 Standard Range has a 78.2 kWh battery that powers a rear-mounted motor developing 308 hp (230 kW / 313 PS) and 317 lb-ft (430 Nm) of torque. This allows for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 6.4 seconds and a range of up to 286 miles (460 km). If that’s not far enough, the Long Range variant has a larger 98 kWh battery that increases the range up to 354 miles (570 km).
While both rear-wheel drive variants use the same electric motor, the Long Range variant has an upgraded 300 kW DC fast charging capability. It enables the battery to go from a 10% to 80% charge in as little as 20 minutes.
Customers looking for all-wheel drive will have to opt for the dual-motor Performance variant. It has a combined output of 543 hp (405 kW / 551 PS) and 529 lb-ft (717 Nm) of torque. Thanks to the extra oomph, 62 mph (100 km/h) comes in 3.9 seconds while the top speed remains unchanged at 124 mph (200 km/h). However, the range drops to 323 miles (520 km).
The P7 and G9 have an XPilot suite of driver assistance systems that includes adaptive cruise control, lane centering, active lane change, auto parking assist, and auto exit parking assist. The models also have forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert – among other things.
Pricing varies by country, but P7 deliveries will begin in June and the model will start at €49,990 in the Netherlands. The G9 will arrive this September and Dutch customers will need to shell out €57,990 for the crossover.
