- Bentley has introduced the performance-focused Bentayga Apex Edition.
- It features carbon fiber wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, and a carbon fiber styling package.
- Production will be limited to 20 units and all have a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 542 hp.
Bentley continues to crank out special editions and their latest is the Bentayga Apex Edition by Mulliner. It’s based on the Bentayga S and is focused on performance.
Billed as the “most dynamic Bentayga ever,” the Apex Edition rides on 22-inch Mulliner carbon wheels that were developed in collaboration with Bucci Composites. They’re stronger and stiffer than the usual wheels, while also reducing unsprung mass by 53 lbs (24 kg). Bentley noted this provides an assortment of benefits including increased agility, reduced tire wear, and improved braking performance.

Speaking of the latter, the crossover has been outfitted with carbon ceramic brakes. They save more than 44 lbs (20 kg) of weight and should be as dependable as your trusty butler Jeeves.
Sticking with the performance theme, the Apex Edition has a “free-flowing sports exhaust,” rear-wheel steering, and active anti-roll control. Buyers will also find a familiar twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) of torque. This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
Bentley will offer six exterior design themes, but all have a full-length racing stripe that starts at the base of the hood and continues all the way to the back of the roof. This is a first for the Bentayga and will likely prove controversial.
We won’t bore you with the multitude of design themes, but owners of the Continental GT and GTC Le Mans Edition can get the Apex Edition with a matching design. As a result, it features a Verdant green exterior with a Moonbeam stripe as well as a Beluga interior with Hotspur accents.
Design themes aside, the crossover comes with an assortment of carbon fiber components including spoilers, mirror caps, and D-pillar badges. Buyers will also find carbon fiber interior trim, embroidered seats, and Apex Edition sill plates.
Production will be limited to 20 units globally and customers have the option of creating a “true one-of-one expression” by going the bespoke route.
