Lexus may be teasing its electric future with the LFA Concept, but over at Tom’s Racing, the V8 era isn’t going quietly. The Japanese tuner has rolled out a new “Tom’s Edition” package for the LC coupe and convertible, aiming to give the existing model one more moment in the spotlight.
At the center of the update is a reworked front end that noticeably alters the car’s face. The custom bumper reduces the familiar spindle grille to a smaller, detached opening, while the lower intake stays wide and attention-seeking. New triangular side inlets sit beneath the headlights. Honestly, it feels like a downgrade, with shades of older Corolla-era Toyota design creeping in where they don’t belong.

Tom’s Racing insists that the vehicle “retains the spindle grille of the LC, while also blending it with the spindle body concept that Lexus has been promoting in recent years”. Reading between the lines, they’re likely referring to the hourglass-shaped lines at the front and rear.
The profile appears to be unchanged, with the exception of the new alloy wheels measuring 21 inches in diameter. The rear gains a new bumper extension with more body-colored trim, quad exhaust pipes, and a discreet diffuser, joined by a discreet lip spoiler.
Lexus LC Tom’s Edition
Under the hood, the naturally aspirated V8 remains untouched, still delivering 471 hp (351 kW / 477 PS) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. Tom’s Racing is reportedly exploring performance upgrades, but they’ve ruled out any turbocharging.

What Else Was on Display?
Tom’s Racing brought its latest creations to the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, showcasing the LC alongside three other Lexus-based builds: the GX, LX, and LM. Each received its own interpretation of the Tom’s Edition treatment.
Lexus GX Tom’s Edition
Starting with the GX, the bodykit is inspired by trail running shoes, which explains the colorful accents and the rugged stance. It includes front and rear bumper extensions, wider fenders, hood inserts, and side skirts with integrated steps.

The interior has yet to be shown, but Tom’s Racing promised “sustainable materials, renewable energy, and circular design”. Highlights include the use of “deer skin that would otherwise be discarded”, combined with eco-friendly leather made of mushrooms.
The tuner is currently working on performance upgrades for the twin-turbo V6, and is considering different wheels and tires. Pricing will be announced on a later date.
Lexus LX Tom’s Edition
The Lexus LX Tom’s Edition is a lot more discreet. The dark-themed exterior has a subtle styling kit, combined with massive 22-inch alloy wheels and fresh upholstery inside the cabin. Power upgrades are currently under development. The price of a new LX Tom’s Edition with the full treatment is ¥27,419,500 ($173,400), while the upgrades alone can cost you ¥12,919,500 ($81,700).

Rounding out the lineup is the Lexus LM Tom’s Edition Gold Limited, which leans fully into the theme of prosperity with champagne gold highlights across the body. It rides on bespoke multi-spoke alloys and features revised aero elements, including a new splitter, side skirts, and a rear bumper extension. The cabin echoes the theme with gold diamond-stitched seats and coordinated trim on the doors and center console.
This ultra-luxe van starts at ¥26,500,500 ($167,600) for the full package. For owners looking to convert an existing LM, the transformation will cost ¥11,500,500 ($72,700).
