• Mercedes‑Benz Places Binghatti City is taking shape in Dubai.
  • The development will include 12 towers with 13,000+ residences.
  • Buyers can expect pools, social clubs, golf simulators and gyms.

Mercedes sales plunged 10% last year as the company struggled with tariffs, inventory, and increased competition in China. Given these headwinds, it comes as little surprise the company has been eyeing additional sources of revenue.

One of the latest is a new Mercedes-Benz Places development in Dubai. It will be the company’s second such project in the city and one of a few worldwide.

Known as Mercedes‑Benz Places Binghatti City, the “masterplanned community” is massive and aims to be a “city within a city.” They’re not joking as the development will include more than 13,000 residences spread across 12 towers. This will represent nearly 9 million square feet of space.

Designed to set a “new benchmark for exclusive, integrated urban living,” the development will consist of a step-like center tower known as Vision Iconic. It will be flanked by 11 rectangular buildings, which vaguely resemble high-end computer cases.

Mercedes didn’t say much about them, but claimed they’ll express “Sensual Purity.” The automaker went on to note each tower will be named after a concept as there will be Vision One-Eleven, Vision Mercedes Simplex, and Vision Mercedes‑Maybach 6 buildings.

Little is known about the residences at this point, but they’ll be “meticulously crafted to intensify the experience of the Mercedes‑Benz brand in every sense.” That’s vague, but people can look forward to lots of wood and leather as well as black and silver flourishes.

Landscaping also plays an important role in the development as outdoor areas are “envisioned as a sanctuary of elegance and tranquility, where nature and innovation converge.” Marketing hyperbole aside, there will be a Grand Promenade as well as a Picnic Grove and Meadow Pavilion. They’ll be joined by a Crown Arena and family areas known as Little Marvels and Aqua Joy. Speaking of the latter, there will be family pools, infinity pools, and splash zones.

On the topic of amenities, Mercedes promised “state-of-the-art gyms, yoga pods, outdoor training decks, and sky jogging tracks.” They’ll be joined by an assortment of clubs including those dedicated to archery, fencing, climbing, and Pilates. Residents can also look forward to spin studios, golf simulators, an e-sports lounge, and a ballroom.
