- A Nissan Rogue climbed onto a 300ZX at a Missouri car wash.
- The 300ZX’s low nose acted as a ramp for the Rogue’s tires.
- No injuries were reported, but the classic coupe was damaged.
A routine spin through a Missouri car wash ended in disaster for what looked like a well-kept classic Nissan 300ZX, which somehow wound up wedged beneath a black Nissan Rogue.
The incident happened on Tuesday at the Zips Car Wash on 1530 S Range Line Rd. Photos from the scene, shared by KOAM News, show the Nissan sports car serving as an unintentional launch ramp for the family SUV, proving that the sharply sloped, low-slung styling of ’90s coupes can lead to some unintended physics lessons in automated tunnels.

Interestingly, there is no visible damage on the bodywork of the Rogue, but its wheels are sitting on the base of the 300ZX’s windshield after climbing from its low-slung nose.
There doesn’t seem to be any visible damage to the Rogue’s bodywork, with its wheels planted on the base of the 300ZX’s windshield after climbing up its low-slung nose. That uphill detour left a fair share of damage on the front of the Z, now visibly pressed against the SUV’s undercarriage. The front suspension doesn’t seem too thrilled about the added load either.
According to KOAM News, local police and fire crews responded to the scene. No injuries were reported, as the incident took place at low speed within the wash tunnel. A tow truck was eventually called in to separate the two Nissans. Despite the damage, both the sports car and the SUV were able to drive away.

There’s no video to show exactly how things went sideways, but a couple of scenarios seem plausible. The driver of the Rogue might have accidentally left it in park or hit the brakes at the end of the tunnel, leaving the conveyor belt to do what it does best: keep pushing, in this case, right into the back of the 300ZX.
Or maybe the SUV was unintentionally thrown into reverse, sending it up the hood of the sports car instead of out of the wash. Either way, someone’s insurance adjuster just had a very weird day.
Images of the “Nissan-on-Nissan” incident spread quickly across social media, drawing reactions from readers. Over on the NissanDrivers subreddit, opinions were split, but many seemed less concerned about the bizarre piggyback crash and more baffled by the fact that someone willingly ran a classic Z32 through an automated brush wash at all.
