• GMC has teased the 2027 Sierra, which is “coming soon.”
  • Redesigned truck follows in the footsteps of the Sierra EV.
  • We can expect new V8s and an upgraded four-cylinder.

Chevrolet introduced the redesigned Silverado 1500 last week and now, GMC has quietly teased its Professional Grade counterpart. The company isn’t saying much at this point, but it released a darkened image of the 2027 Sierra on their website and said it’s “coming soon.”

From what we can tell from the teaser, the new ICE pickup closely resembles the Sierra EV. As you can see, the truck has stylish daytime running lights that reside above mid-mounted headlights. They’re joined by an illuminated GMC logo as well as a sculpted hood and new side mirrors.

Inside, we can expect a high-tech cabin with a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 16.3-inch infotainment system. Higher-end variants will likely throw an 11.5-inch front passenger display into the mix. We also wouldn’t be surprised to find a unique interior on the range-topping Denali trim to help distance it from lesser versions.

Chevrolet has shared few details about the 2027 Silverado, but we know it will be offered with a Multi-Flex center console as well as a dual wireless smartphone charger and a newly available panoramic sunroof. They’ll be joined by Super Cruise and genuine wood trim on the High Country.

Under the hood, we can expect a mix of new and improved engines. Next-generation small block V8s are the star of the show, and they’ll have displacements of 5.7- and 6.6-liters.

Chevy has promised that the truck will have the “most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 engine in its class.” That’s not much to go on, but the mills are closely related to the 6.7-liter LS6 V8 that debuted in the updated Corvette. It produces 535 hp (399 kW / 542 PS) and 520 lb-ft (704 Nm) of torque.

Besides the V8s, we can expect an “enhanced” 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel. This means owners will have plenty of options at their disposal.
