There was a time when only millionaires could put a Ferrari F430 on their shopping list, but depreciation has made the 458 Italia’s predecessor more affordable.

Priced from roughly €70,000 ($77,500) on the used car market today, it is now within reach of people who would normally spend that kind of money on an executive saloon or coupe.

This guy went with his guts and after many nights of documentation and a thorough search, finally saw his name written the F430’s papers, but before making a deposit with a local dealer that had it in stock, he had it checked out and found that it needs new clutch, tires, spark plugs, filters and fluids.

These may not be steep on the average family wagon or SUV, but on a Ferrari they do cost between $10,000 and $15,000, which the future owner did not have to pay, as the dealer changed them all before purchase.

Depending on what someone wants to do with their used Ferrari F430, the man recommends checking out both manual and automated manual gearbox versions, even if the prior cost around $20,000 more, and if track days are a must, then the carbon ceramic brakes will be greatly appreciated.
