The roll out for the Toyota and Subaru rear-wheel drive coupe triplets continues in the UK where the Toyota confirmed pricing and specifications for the GT 86 after an initial announcement in February.

In Britain, the GT 86 is available for order with first deliveries to take place on July 1. There’s only one equipment grade available at launch, with buyers having the option of a six-speed manual model priced at £24,995 (€29,890 or US$39,580) on-the-road or a 6sp automatic variant at £26,495 (€31,680 or US$41,950).

On the outside, the GT 86 gets a rear spoiler, 17-inch wheels, bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, front fog lamps and electric folding door mirrors with housings matched to the car’s body colour as standard.

There are seven exterior colours including, Dark Red, Silver metallic, Black metallic, Blue metallic, Dark Red metallic, Orange metallic and Pearl pearlescent.

Inside, the 2+2 seater model’s standard features include, front sport seats, aluminium pedals, contrasting red stitching around the black leather trimmed steering wheel, gear knob and parking brake, dual-zone air conditioning, cruise control, hill-start assist and scuff plates.

Also standard is the Toyota Touch touchscreen control system for controlling the six-speaker audio system, with Bluetooth for phone connection and music streaming, and a USB port.

The GT 86 is also equipped with a switchable VSC stability control system, which can be adjusted through three driving modes, a torque-sensing limited slip differential and seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag.

Optional features include black leather and Alcantara, or black leather with red Alcantara upholstery for the interior, Toyota’s Touch and Go system with satellite navigation, and exterior decals for the side, roof and bonnet.
