One of the most noteworthy world premieres at this year’s edition of India’s Auto Expo 2014 (February 7-11) is the new Figo Concept, which is four-door sedan version of the Ka Study shown in Brazil late last year.

The small sedan, which we think looks its best when viewed from the front where it sports Ford’s very Aston Martin-like mouthpiece, is a precursor to a production model that will follow next year in a toned down form.

A direct rival to Tata’s new Zest saloon that is also making its first appearance in front of the public at the show, as well as to the Hyundai Grand i10 sedan, the sub 4-meter long Figo is anticipated to be offered with a 91hp 1.5-liter turbo diesel, and possibly a choice of a 1.2-liter and an EcoBoost 1.0-liter petrol units.

The sedan model will likely be joined by the aforementioned Ka as the Figo hatchback in the Indian market.
