Nissan continues to promote the Note in an unusual way in Europe, with the latest PR stunt involving a massive bubble used as a metaphor for the model’s Safety Shield technology.

The world’s biggest working Zorb, complete with a full-sized Note cushioned inside, has been created by Nissan to highlight the Safety Shield suite of driver assistance technology. The giant inflatable ball measures six meters (19.7 ft) and more than 18 meters (59 ft) in circumference.

Nicknamed the “CarZorb”, the bubble was rolled down a course of steep hills in a two-minute film released today. Weighing more than a tonne (2,204 lbs), the structure took more than two months to build and was designed to visually represent the Nissan’s Safety Shield technology.

“Creating a life size CarZorb to highlight the technology is an exciting and memorable way of reminding people about the benefits of Nissan’s Safety Shield,” said Bastien Schupp, Nissan Vice President Strategy & Marketing.

The Nissan Safety Shield includes Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Moving Object Detection and is powered by the 360-degree Around View Monitor technology which relies on a self-cleaning rear camera.
