What happens when the biggest automotive icon meets its successor in the beautiful roads of Southern France?
Evo magazine was able to drive back to back a McLaren F1 and a McLaren P1 with the same chassis number (#46 if you really have to ask), courtesy of their lucky owner. McLaren gave the choice to existing F1 owners to purchase a P1 of the same build slot, hence the matching numbers.
There are very few cars that can claim to royal fame; any Ferrari V12 of the ‘60s is a nice example of automotive royalty but the McLaren F1 has all the correct ingredients to position itself on the throne of the Petrolheads’ Kingdom.
