Good news for prospective Volvo buyers: if you’re on the list for a 2016 XC90, you can get a new Volvo to drive before your new car arrives. And if you’re in the market for a lightly used XC60, there will probably be a good selection of them in about six months.

Volvo Cars has made a deal with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in which U.S. buyers awaiting their XC90 order can rent a Volvo XC60 from the company, according to Automotive News. Buyers can pick an XC60 from a dealer, at which point Enterprise gets the XC60 to rent to them for up to six month. At the end of the term, it’s sold back to Volvo for a pre-determined amount.

This move means XC60 sales are projected to be on an upswing through the summer. It’s consistently one of the Volvo’s best-sellers already.

There’s a 1-3 month waiting period for about 4,000 people who’ve pre-ordered a 2016 XC90, according to Volvo. The long-awaited second-generation of Volvo’s three-row crossover appeared last summer, but just started landing in U.S. showrooms in May in small quantities. Volvo, however, is keen to keep customers who already have their name on an XC90 in the fold even though there’s a wait list.

The XC90 is key to growing the brand’s sales globally, but also to push their U.S. sales figures closer to the magic 100,000 mark again. North America is the market where Volvo has significantly lagged in recent years.
