You might want to turn up the volume on your speakers or headphones to hear all those delicious sounds coming from Hennessey’s 800hp strong Corvette Z06 tune.

While the video of Hennessey’s test run performed at Houston’s Ellington Airport doesn’t tell us how long it takes for the HPE800 (that’s the name of the package) 2015 Corvette Z06 to reach 175mph (281km/h) from standstill, it does give us a taste of what it feels like.

To achieve the boost from the stock Z06’s 650hp at 6,400 rpm to 800hp at 6,500 rpm, the Texas tuner made all sorts of improvements to the 6.2-liter supercharged V8, including, but not limited to, a recalibrated ECU, high flow cylinder heads, new cold air induction system, upgraded valve springs and a custom camshaft.

If you prefer something a little lighter on the mods, Hennessey also offers the milder HPE750 tuning kit with 750 ponies.
