Reviews are in for the all-new Audi A4, and people seem genuinely impressed with the car’s ride as well as its tech. But would we ever settle for something a lot more basic?

Even though all of these ‘base-spec’ renderings are nothing more but design exercises, if suddenly brought to life, these cars would still probably not let us down in terms of comfort, practicality and even driving dynamics.

None of those things are influenced by the color, unpainted bumpers, ugly wheels or anything of that nature. If this exact car rendered here would cost a couple of grand less than a current entry-level Audi A4, who’s to say that you couldn’t buy new wheels and paint those bumpers afterwards and still end up saving a lot of money.

As for the interior, well, the artists don’t really get into that stuff when working on a base-spec rendering, but we could assume that it would obviously come with a 6-speed manual transmission, manual air conditioning, power windows only in front, no cruise control, a basic mp3 audio system and maybe not even a multi-functioning steering wheel.

Sure, it would definitely defeat the purpose of buying a premium car, but rest assured, it wouldn’t be a bad car at all. So If you had to live with this car, which part would you find most annoying, the ugly wheels or the bumpers?

Or the fact that you’d get no LED daytime running lights and probably not even xenon lights?
