The all-new Audi R8 is a deceptively special supercar once you get past that exterior design which isn’t exactly what we’d call exotic (at least, not anymore).

However, on paper, you probably won’t ever feel the need to go faster, especially if you’re in the V10 Plus version, which has no fewer than 610 PS, as well as 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of peak torque. It will get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).

It’s basically (and technically) Audi’s version of the Lamborghini Huracan, only slightly more practical, just as fast when accelerating, and with a higher top speed than the Lambo.

So here it is then, driving around places where you’d actually expect to see it. The “ideal” Audi R8 V10 Plus owner should be somebody who lives in a beautiful region, near a race track where he can burn some rubber whenever he feels like it.

Or maybe I’m just projecting, I don’t know, but it sounds right.

Also, listening to that V10 engine “talk dirty” to the environment is a real delight – all the more reason to check out the video, with your volume slightly turned up.
