Danica Patrick Delivers New Camaro To Its Rightful Owner

Racecar driver Danica Patrick helped Huffines Chevrolet deliver the first sixth-gen Camaro to a customer this the past weekend.

Alican ‘Turk’ Boyacioglu, the owner of the new muscle car, was extremely surprised to see Patrick emerging from the car and handing him the keys.

“The whole experience was surreal. Coming to the race and getting the VIP treatment was amazing, and I still can’t believe I get to drive the first 2016 Camaro away.”

The Chevrolet Camaro in question was delivered at the Texas Motor Speedway, on November 7, at the stop of the Chevrolet’s ‘Find New Roads Trip’.

The automaker offers six new powertrain combinations, including its own answer to the Mustang EcoBoost, a 2.0-liter Turbo, borrowed from the ATS and CTS, which is now rated at 270hp (274 PS) and 295lb-ft (400Nm) of torque. This is joined by the 3.6-liter V6 with its 330hp (335 PS), while the range-topping model uses a 6.2-liter V8 producing 455hp (461 PS).

Pricing starts from $26,695, on the 1LT, and it can go up to $37,295, for the 1SS. The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is produced at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly plant, which received at $175-million investment to support production of the new model. The first units to arrive at dealerships in mid-November are the SS and LT Coupes, while the convertibles and 2.0L models will be delivered in early 2016.
