When two of the most hard-core models Porsche has ever produced get together for an extensive photo shoot wearing all black and custom alloy wheels, we’re going to take notice.

Sometimes, the first thing you think about when confronted with a GT3 RS or a CT4 is that somebody just caged a 911 Carrera and a Cayman, ran some hocus pocus super soldier serum through them and what came out was pure “beast mode”.

Seriously, what is wrong with Tony Stark if his idea of top of the line performance is an Audi R8 and an Acura? We thought Iron Man only fancied the very best in terms of technology.

Well, there aren’t a lot of things that go ‘vrrumm’ in the night better than the 911 GT3 RS and the Cayman GT4, we can tell you that much. Also, we’ll stop with all the Marvel references, since sometimes real life can be even more spectacular than a fake comic book universe.

Together, these two cars are formidable, though you still get the sense that there’s a hierarchy in there somewhere. It’s not Batman & Batman, because one of these guys is supposed to be Robin and the fact that some people consider the GT4 the very best driver’s car, shouldn’t change the fact that the GT3 RS is more powerful, faster and quicker to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) – but let’s lay down some numbers, shall we?

Cayman GT4

– 3.8 Flat-Six
– 385 PS
– 4.4 seconds to 100 km/h
– 295 km/h (183 mph) top speed

911 GT3 RS

– 4.0 Flat-Six
– 500 PS
– 3.3 seconds to 100 km/h
– 322 km/h (200 mph) top speed

You can argue in favor of the GT4 as being more of a pure driver’s car, but on paper it will never sit higher than the 911 GT3 RS on Porsche’s inner food chain.

Also, both of these cars are wearing custom Vossen wheels. The Cayman GT4 is on a set of VPS-314s while the 911 GT3 RS is rocking VPS-303s. The rim designs are somewhat classic yet work really well on both cars. But enough chatter, which one would you rather have?
