A yellow Ferrari LaFerrari has been damaged after crashing in London over the weekend.
According to reports, the crash happened on the A40 motorway. It is suggested that the driver of the prized Italian hybrid hypercar lost control after the rear wheels broke traction, just like in the Budapest crash. The car then span into the central crash barrier before coming to a rest on the side of the highway.
While limited pictures and videos are available of the LaFerrari after the crash, those few that have surfaced show that it suffered damage to the front, side and rear-end. At the front, the bumper has received some rather minor scuffs with the bumper also being bent and one headlight being pushed back into the fender. Meanwhile, the rear wheel on the driver’s side appears to have been buckled and badly damaged by the impact.
Additionally, the exceptionally expensive rear bumper of the hypercar has been cracked and will need to be replaced as will one of the taillights.
Given the fact that the LaFerrari is powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine mated to a KERS system and outputting 950 hp, it seems likely that the driver will want to get the car repaired and back on the road as quickly as possible. Additionally, based on the sky-rocketing prices of ‘used’ LaFerraris, it will prove a valuable investment in the years and decades to come, so parting ways with it surely wouldn’t be an option.
