The Cadillac-ized Chevy Silverado Could’ve Fooled Us

While not our cup of tea, this 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck turned into a murdered out Cadillac wannabe with the face of a third-gen Escalade deserves some brownie points for the effort.

Hey, if GM had prodded into the full-size pickup truck category at the time, it would have probably conceived something very similar to this, and if you don’t believe us, just take a look at the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade SUVs.

Beyond the Escalade face-transplant, the ‘Chevillac Silverade’ or ‘Cadilloret Escalverado’ has a matching rear bumper from the 2012MY version of the SUV, complete with chrome trims and exhaust finishers, together with a few Cadillac-style cues inside like wood accents, instrument gauge graphics and headrest logos. It also comes with something that…will have you scratching your head; headrest-mounted DVD screens.

You can find it up for sale over at Craigslist in Chicago with the owner having listed it for $14,900.

That front end would’ve made a decent looking truck, but that early 2000’s curvy stepside rear end doesn’t match at all.

Truck guys have been doing this conversion for a long time. But yes, if the curvaceous stepside was more angular it would be a great fit.

Um, yeah because the whole Escalade concept is pretty much a Chevy truck, anyway…

Why are there screens in headrests when there’s no back seats?

so the kids in the back in the pickup bed can look inside the back sliding window and watch dukes of hazzard ..I can tell you haven’t ridden in redneck style lol

They could of picked a nicer place to take the pics. That place has a trash bin and just all around bad.
