Jensen’s Interceptor has to be one of the most cult cars to come out of Britain in the 1960s.

The original Interceptor had a life span of just three years, before it was replaced in 1969 by the Interceptor II. During its production, only 1,024 units rolled off the assembly line, out of which 923 were in right-hand drive, equipped with an automatic transmission.

At its heart lies a 6,076 cc V8 engine, which put a big smile on its first owner’s face, when he took possession of the car back in March 5, 1968. This Interceptor remained in the United Kingdom until 2007, when it was exported to Belgium, which it has called home ever since.

It underwent what the vendor refers to as a “Sympathetic restoration” in 2014 and 2015, which set the owner back for approximately €30,000 (~$33,000). During the repairs, many components were replaced in the engine bay, including a new radiator with dual fans. At this stage, it carried a non-original red paint, but the owner decided to return it to its former color: Crystal Blue. Painting it meant redoing “all of the brightwork” as well, and the final result can be seen in the photo gallery.

Purchasing it means taking a trip to the Silverstone Classic Sale, where it will go under the hammer on July 30, where it is estimated to change hands for somewhere around £35,000-£40,000 ($49,555-$56,635).
