More muscle, more growl and the ability to corner better than before is what will help the Audi RS5 rival the likes of the BMW M4 Coupe and Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe.

While the current iteration uses a 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 that sounds absolutely delicious, the new model will be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6.

Its exact output remains unknown, but rumor has it it could be in the neighborhood of 500 horsepower, which will position it in the same league as the 503 HP C63 AMG Coupe and above the M4 Coupe, which is good for 425 HP. No matter what the final output, the new RS5 will be faster than its predecessor and will cut down on its 4.6-second rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint.

On the outside, a new aerodynamic and aggressive body kit is expected to combine redesigned front and rear bumpers, wheel arch extensions and larger side skirts, similar to what RMDesign did in this rendering, while completing its look will be a fresh set of wheels with a larger diameter.

The next-gen RS5 Coupe isn’t going to reveal its fangs any sooner than 2017, but in the meantime, you might want to check the latest A5 and S5 Coupe, which will go on sale in Europe this fall.
