Someone could say there are a lot of dream cars out there and then there’s the Ferrari F40.
Arguably one of the most significant cars of the past century, the Ferrari F40 was -and is- a celebration of driving itself, being one of the purest and most scintillating experiences you can have behind a steering wheel.
The F40 demonstrated Ferrari’s ability to cater for the driver at a time when Porsche was playing the futuristic card with the 959. Nothing was assisted in the lightweight Ferrari, with the twin-turbo 2.9-litre V8 having to move just 1.100kg of dry weight with its 478hp.
Many lucky owners have fitted their F40s with a Tubi exhaust, allowing the engine to clear its throat more freely and spit bigger flames from the signature triple exhaust tips. This is one of those cars, with its owner taking it for a night drive to test his new exhaust system.
