If you’ve observed certain classic cars demanding big prices on the auction block and wondered what you might invest in now to cash in big in the future, the Detroit Public Library may have the answer for you.

The library’s National Automotive History Collection has named the Dodge Viper as its most “Collectible Vehicle of the Future” for 2016, selecting the all-American supercar from all the new models launched in 2015.

What’s more is that this isn’t the first time that the Viper has been selected for the top honor. In fact the NAHC has singled out the model four times now, following its selection in 2003, 2007 and 2013.

Other previous recipients of the award include the Chevy Volt and Camaro, Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger, Ford Flex, Thunderbird and Mustang, Pontiac Solstice, and Tesla Model S.

The award was selected by the NAHC Board of Trustees, and conferred by NAHC chairman Richard Kollins and board member Chuck Patton. “With more than 600,000 documents,” the NAHC is touted as “the world’s most extensive public archive of automotive information.”
