Volkswagen has been hit by another problem; nothing as serious as the Dieslegate or the more recent discovery of vehicles that are vulnerable to hacking, an issue nonetheless.

According to Reuters, citing the spokesperson for the brand’s plant in Emden, Lower Saxony, the automaker plans to reduce working hours due to supplier problems from its in-house seat manufacturer, Sitech.

The action will affect roughly one third of the factory’s 9,000 workers for an initial period between August 18 and 24, who are in charge of assembling an average of 1,250 Passat vehicles each day, including the wagon and CC versions.

Despite the numerous storm clouds hovering above the Volkswagen Group lately, it has managed to move almost 3.4 million VW passenger cars globally in the first seven months of the year, 0.9 percent less than January to July 2015, most of which have been pulled by China and Europe, in this order, helping the manufacturer achieve a positive start into the third quarter.
