Mercedes-AMG is the latest in a string of automakers to have announced its presence in the new Gran Turismo Sport video game.

Developed by Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4, the racing series features 9 different models from Mercedes-AMG, which will race against other cars in six categories and 40 courses, at 17 various locations.

The list includes the A45 hot hatch, GT S, GT S ’14 F1 Safety Car, GT3, SLS AMG, SLS AMG GT 3, Vision Gran Turismo, and Vision Gran Turismo Racing Series. The automaker, together with the video game creators, have also released the SLS AMG Gr.4, a digital model that’s only available in Gran Turismo Sport.

“I personally own an AMG, but the performance of AMG cars is not just about speed, they provide extremely good stability and drivability”, said Kazunori Yamauchi, the inventor and producer of the Gran Turismo series. “I’m happy that more people will be able to experience the thrill of racing in these fantastic cars through Gran Turismo Sport.”

Mercedes-AMG is also looking to keep fans of the extremely popular racing series close, by offering them a die-cast model of the GT S, together with the Collector’s Edition of the video game.
