The B-segment for crossovers is more crowded than ever, with almost every major automaker having a say.

However, one of the pioneers of the sector, Nissan, still hasn’t released a second generation of the Juke, which has been around since 2010, with different nips and tucks, and special editions.

It’s more of the same for the 2018MY Juke, which has arrived at the Geneva Motor Show with what the automaker calls “new features and design upgrades”.

These include the tweaked dark chrome V-motion grille, headlamp bezels, and turn indicators on the side mirrors, and two new wheel sets, with colored inserts.

Different finishes can be applied to certain body parts, including the front and rear bumpers, door side sills and mirror caps, and the LED fog lamps are now being offered at no extra cost from the Acenta grade upwards. Finally, two new body colors, called Vivid Blue and Chestnut Bronze, round up the list of updates on the outside.

Inside, customers can get two more shades for extra personalization – Energy Orange and Power Blue, in addition to the glossy black look, higher grade of leather on the steering wheel, white-on-black information display and two Bose speakers built into the driver’s seat headrest.

The 2018 Nissan Juke comes in four grades. The entry-level Visia has air-con, power windows all around, electrically adjustable mirrors, CD Audio with AUX port and LED DRLs. The Acenta adds front fog lamps, Nissan Dynamic Control System, automatic air-con, USB and Bluetooth, privacy and cruise control with speed limiter.

Nissan’s Connect infotainment system is available north of the Bose Personal Edition trim, where it’s joined by a reversing camera, electrically folding side mirrors, Bose stereo, Nissan Intelligent Key with push-button start, part-leather seats and automatic headlights.

Finally, the range-topping Tekna brings full leather seats with heating function at the front, Around View Monitor, Lane Departure Warning and Blind Spot Warning.

Nissan will start taking orders for the 2018 Juke in the UK from May.
