There’s little doubt that, with the Demon version of the Challenger, Dodge and SRT have come up with a ridiculously powerful and fast package. The trick is getting your hands on one.

If you’re in the market and haven’t had any luck at local dealerships, you might want to look to the auction scene. Because there’s two brand-new, factory-fresh examples of FCA’s drag machine coming up for auction next month – with no reserve price on either.

Pictured above is the one that RM Sotheby’s will sell off to the highest bidder at its upcoming sale in Fort Lauderdale, scheduled for April 6-7. Car number 0589 was purchased from Rick Hendrick’s dealership in Charleston, South Carolina, decked out in dark grey. It has just 4 miles on the odometer, and is expected to sell for $135-150k.

If you miss out on that one, you’ll have another few days to make your way an hour up the Florida coast to Palm Beach. That’s where Barrett-Jackson will be auctioning off another example on April 12-15. This one is red, with just 6.5 miles on it, and still has the plastic cover on the driver’s seat and engine. It hasn’t even been dealer-prepped yet.

Aside from the color, they’re both identical machines: modern muscle cars powered by a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 producing as much as 840 horsepower. The supercharger alone displaces 2.7 liters, helping the big beast run to 60 in 2.3 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in under ten.

With their yellow chin-spoiler protectors still in place and their Monroney stickers still in the window, both these examples are as fresh as you’re going to find. Breaking either of them in would be a heck of a thrill.
