The Jeep Cherokee has been struck with yet another recall, and this time it concerns owners of certain 2018MY models.

In the statement released by FCA, the automaker mentions an estimated 48,990 units of the vehicle in the United States equipped with the 2.4-liter inline-four MultiAir engine affected by the recall.

Following an internal investigation, it has been discovered that, in FCA’s words, “a batch of fuel-supply tubes may have connectors that were incorrectly fitted”.

In extreme cases, the defective parts could leak fuel, thus increasing the risk of fire, although Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this fault.
