While we already knew that people like imposing wagons such as the Audi RS6 or the Mercedes-AMG E 63 Estate, here’s an example of somebody going above and beyond in trying to get their Volvo to stand out.
So what’s the idea? Is this supposed to look classy? Well, it features a custom grille reminiscent of old Cadillacs from the 80s, wheel covers for the rear (at least the left rear that is), and purple or pink rims, so someone probably thought as much.
This body kit also includes the front bumper and possibly some mods at the rear as well. And the headlights, those are definitely not stock, as anybody who’s ever seen an old Volvo V70 will attest.
The images was sourced from Reddit’s official thread for “unpopular” car mods, and we certainly won’t argue against this car being where it belongs as far as the thread is concerned.
To tell you the truth, though, what this Volvo reminds us of is Top Gear of old, back when Clarkson used to say to the audience that the trio’s efforts to modify cars were always “ambitious, but rubbish.” Although, we’re not exactly sure what type of ambitions were at hand here in the first place. It’s a bad patch job at best.
But enough about what we think. It’s your turn to pick on this poor defenseless and defaced Volvo – so let’s the roasting begin!
