With Nissan giving the Versa Note updates for the 2018 and 2018.5 model years, no one expected the 2019 car to bring massive improvements.

And it doesn’t: the only update is the addition of the optional NissanConnect featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus SiriusXM Satellite Radio to the SV and SR trim levels.

Despite that, pricing for the 2019 Versa Note sees minor increases across the lineup. The entry-level Versa Note 1.6 S Xtronic now starts $50 higher at $15,650, while the mid-range SV grade also adds $50 for a grand total of $16,550. Finally, the top-of-the-line SR model starts at $18,360, which is $260 more than the equivalent 2018.5 model. All prices exclude an $895 destination and handling fee.

As a reminder, the 2018.5 model year update brought a standard RearView Monitor and 7.0-inch color audio system touchscreen display.

The 2019 Versa Note carries on with the same 1.6-liter DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder that delivers 109 hp (81 kW) and 107 lb-ft (144 Nm) of torque. Combined with the Xtronic CVT transmission, the naturally aspirated unit helps the Versa Note return an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 31 mpg city / 39 mpg highway / 34 mpg combined.

The continuously variable transmission features D-step Logic Control, a system that simulates shifts for “a natural acceleration feeling without holding a high rpm constant,” according to Nissan.

The 2019 Versa Note is already on sale at Nissan dealerships across the United States.
