New BMW M5 Gets Up To 800 Horses From G-Power, Drops 0-100km/h To 2.9s

Your ideal BMW M5 F90 might differ from G-Power’s, but the German’s tuner propositions are very exciting.

Building upon the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, G-Power’s Stage 1 upgrade lifts the output by 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW) and 90 Nm (66 lb-ft) of torque, to a total of 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW) and 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque.

Benefiting from the extra muscle means going for the tuner’s Performance Software V1, which modifies the original engine software, or the Performance Module V1, a plug-and-play solution.

Stage 2 makes everything more exciting, like 750 PS (739 hp / 551 kW) and 920 Nm (679 lb-ft) of torque exciting. The Performance Software V2 comes into play, combined with in-house downpipes.

The cherry on top of the cake is the company’s Performance Software, which works together with a titanium exhaust system with four 100 mm (4 in) carbon/titanium tailpipes to lift the output to an impressive 800 PS (789 hp / 589 kW) and 980 Nm (723 lb-ft) of torque.

G-Power claims that in its final form, the BMW M5 F90 takes only 2.9 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph), and will max out at more than 335 km/h (208 mph). By comparison, the stock super saloon’s 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time is 3.4 seconds, and the top speed goes all the way up to 305 km/h (190 mph) with the optional M Driver’s Package.

Enhancing both the look of the car and engine ventilation is the Venturi RR hood, made entirely out of carbon fiber, whereas the final upgrade includes a set of 21-inch rims, with a classic double-spoke design.
