You may remember that Lamborghini’s Ad Personam division built a one-off Huracan for Pope Francis last year.

The car racked up $861,575 at an RM Sotheby’s auction in May 2018, with the entire sum being directed by the Vatican to various charities. We didn’t think we’d hear about the car again so soon.

Well, it turns out that whoever bought the unique Lamborghini Huracan RWD Coupé had other plans for it than making it a garage queen. The car has turned up as a prize on Omaze, an online fundraising platform that offers “once-in-a-lifetime experiences.”

Anyone who is willing to pay anything from $10 to $5,000 gets a proportionate amount of entries to win the grand prize: the keys to the Lamborghini Huracan handed over by Pope Francis himself in Vatican City.

The winner and a friend will be flown out to Vatican City next year and put up in a 4-star hotel. He or she will then receive the keys to the Lambo during a private ceremony at the Vatican in the presence of Pope Francis and Lamborghini CEO, Stefano Domenicali.

Remember, we’re talking about a custom Lamborghini Huracan RWD Coupé, blessed and autographed by Pope Francis. Interestingly, the sweepstakes prize providers are Omaze and Lamborghini, which likely means the automaker placed the winning bid at the RM Sotheby’s auction earlier this year.

The winner will be drawn from all people who will donate — yes, what we haven’t told you yet is that this is a combination between a raffle and a charity. Proceeds from this campaign will benefit causes around the world, from rebuilding villages devastated by violence and war to assisting victims of human trafficking and providing medical care and education to those living in poverty.

Donations will be distributed through Charities Aid Foundation of America (CAFA). You can donate and enter the race to win a one-of-a-kind Huracan right here.
