Thank God We’ll Never See An Urus-Based Pickup Truck. Right Lambo?

Over the past few years, sports car and supercar manufacturers have rushed to build SUVs in order to snap up their share of the booming market. Could the next gold mine for these manufacturers be high-end pickup trucks? Never say never – after all, Mercedes does build the X-Class- but probably not.

Nonetheless, Rain Prisk has decided to design a pickup inspired by the Lamborghini Urus.

In designing the pickup, Prisk left the front of the Urus relatively unchanged, except for the inclusion of a rugged skid plate in the central portion of the front bumper.

Clearly designed with off-roading in mind, Prisk outfitted the digital Urus pickup with a set of massive off-road wheels and tires that help to drastically increase the ride height and make the utility vehicle appear ready for even the most difficult terrain.

The modifications are topped off by the fitment of a large pickup bed rather than the cabin of the actual Urus.

Lamborghini will probably never venture into the world of pickup trucks – or at least we hope so. At least for the foreseeable future, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will remain the most premium pickup truck on the market.

Then again, 10 years ago, it would be unthinkable that Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Ferrari would ever build SUVs…

  • Better looking than Urus.

  • J-Triumf

Why do “we” hope not? This looks way better than most trucks out there (specifically because it’s not brutishly boxy), and if the Urus already exists then this wouldn’t be all that farfetched anymore.

What a Joke, the Mercedes X Class, is a pedestrian ride when compared to the RAM Laramie, F Class King Ranch or GMC Sierra Denali.

    • Adilos Nave

That’s sort of the point. Those trucks are like driving a full-size 18-wheeler. Something like this, the X-Class or Rivian is for a completely different market segment. Apples and oranges.

      • FactChecker90803

The X Class is a compact segment Pickup, I dare say that my nephew’s 2018 GMC Canyon Denali has more amenities then the X Class, which is nothing but a Nissan in drag.

    • Zandit75

Considering the X-Class doesn’t even compete in the same segment, how is this relevant?

      • FactChecker90803

The article states, that the X -Class isfor the foreseeable future, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will remain the most premium pickup truck on the market.

It looks good, that’s for sure.

  • Daniela Wolf

Can u guys start buying normal cars ?

  • AnklaX

I don’t get the title. It’s the best looking pickup truck ever. Looks like what the Urus should’ve been.

  • Jim Manis

Yeah, next thing you know Lamborghini will start making farm tractors…. I wish these sites would hire people who have actual knowledge instead of just letting anyone submit articles.
