Two weeks ago, we brought you our artist’s rendition of the second-generation Nissan Juke, based on spy shots of the subcompact crossover.

We stand by that rendering and believe it’s pretty close to what the finished product will look like, especially in light of the most recent spy photos that show the Juke’s final production body — albeit covered in tight camouflage foil.

We’re always curious to see how other artists envision upcoming cars and we believe Russian website Kolesa’s interpretation is pretty accurate too. Nissan designers took an evolutionary approach when penning the new Juke, deciding to continue along the same quirky path.

However, evolution also means improvement so the new Juke appears to have a more cohesive, homogenous appearance. It appears sleeker and more dynamic judging from the most recent set of spy shots. The 2020 Juke will feature more straight lines and angles than before.

The biggest changes will take place at the rear, as the new model adopts a pair of horizontal taillights instead of the current Juke’s boomerang-shaped units. Inspired by other Nissan models such as the Qashqai, the new taillamps add a much-needed visual width to the crossover.

At the front, V-motion grille gets much bigger and the two-piece headlights remain. However, the ones on top consist of LED strips while the main round units get a more contemporary look. Elsewhere, the Juke remains instantly recognizable thanks to details including the “hidden” rear door handles, bulged wheel arches and broad haunches.

We have no renderings of the interior but the cabin is expected to get a significant overhaul, both styling-wise and in terms of technology.
