UK customers can begin placing orders for Peugeot’s all-new 208 range effective immediately, with first deliveries scheduled to take place early next year.

The all-new Peugeot 208 can be ordered in either Active, Allure or GT Line trims, while the e-208 comes in Active, Allure, GT Line and GT specs. Pricing for the 208 and e-208 starts from £16,250 ($19,877) and £25,050 ($30,642) respectively, with the latter also claiming a £3,500 ($4,280) Government PHEV Grant.

“We revealed the all-new 208 and e-208 in March and it has seen a fantastic reception from both the public and the press. From April, customers have been able to reserve selected all-new 208 and e-208 models with a refundable £500 deposit, but we are now very excited to open the order books across the whole model range on 22 August,” said Peugeot UK exec David Peel.

“The all-new 208 is the first vehicle in PEUGEOT’s line-up to fulfil the company’s new philosophy of ‘choose your PEUGEOT, choose your powertrain’. The 208 is also the first model to meet PEUGEOT’s promise of offering electrified variants across its entire model line-up by 2023.”

Speaking of electrified variants, the Peugeot e-208 is built on the automaker’s e-CMP modular platform and is capable of supporting 100 kW rapid charging, with an 80% charge available within 30 minutes. If you opt instead of a 7 kWh Wallbox charger, you’ll need eight hours to get a full charge.

As for performance, the e-208 can accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 8.1 seconds, with the help of 134 HP (136 PS) and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque, courtesy of a 100 kW electric motor and 50 kW battery. Its zero-emissions range is rated at 211 miles (339 km).
