Nissan has expanded the X-Trail range in Australia by launching the new N-Trek Limited Edition. Based on the mid-spec ST-L, it slots under the range-topping Ti, and is limited to 500 units.
Available in 2WD and 4WD configuration, pricing starts at AU$38,700 (US$26,526) and AU$40,700 (US$27,897), respectively. Both versions of the SUV are powered by a 2.5-liter engine that makes 126 kW (171 PS / 169 hp) and 225 Nm (166 lb-ft) of torque and is paired to a CVT.

Setting it apart from the rest of the range are the black bonnet protector, slim line weather shields at both ends, front and rear kick plates and 19-inch alloy wheels.
On the inside, the new X-Trail N-Trek gets a 7-inch infotainment system, Bluetooth, DAB+ digital radio, satellite navigation system with traffic monitoring, leather trim, heated seats, dual-zone climate control and cruise control.
A wide selection of safety systems is also included, like the 360-degree camera system with Moving Object Detection, reversing camera with predictive path technology, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Sport Warning.
The 2019 X-Trail range starts at AU$29,890 (US$20,488) for the base ST, which packs a 2.0-liter petrol lump that generates 106 kW (144 PS / 142 hp) and 200 Nm (148 lb-ft) of torque, and is matched to a six-speed manual transmission. For the base diesel-powered variant of the mid-size SUV, which is powered by a 2.0-liter unit with 130 kW (176 PS / 174 hp) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, you will have to fork out at least AU$36,690 (US$25,149). Prices do not include on-road costs and dealer fees.
