There is an almost unlimited array of ways that people can customize and personalize their vehicles and the following Nissan Skyline features one of the most intriguing light arrays we’ve ever come across.

Clearly eager to make his 1991 Nissan Skyline GTS-4 stand out from all others, YouTuber Steve Molans has designed and manufactured a set of infinity mirror taillights for the sports car complete with colored LEDs. The result is phenomenal.

An infinity mirror consists of two or more parallel or near parallel mirrors that are used to create a series of smaller reflections that appear to recede to infinity. Infinity mirrors can often be found in art pieces and a handful of production cars, most notably the Lexus LC500.

The round shape of the taillights and the infinity mirror makes it appear as though the headlights are at least 12-inches deep and stretch well into the bodywork of the Skyline. However, in reality they’re the size of normal taillights; it’s simply an optical illusion that makes them look this way. The effect created by the infinity mirror and the presence of colored LEDs makes the taillights a really interesting party piece.

Molans clearly has quite a fascination with lights and also adorned the Skyline with unique headlights and lights in the wheels, all of which are controlled remotely through a Nintendo controller. Another awesome aspect of Molan’s car is the hydraulic rear wing that can be raised up remotely.
