Come March 11, 2020, somebody will get the chance to bid on this 1967 first-generation Dodge Charger restomod, equipped with a 528 HEMI V8, good for 651 HP and 618 lb-ft (838 Nm) of torque.

The car will be auctioned off through Mecum Auctions, and while the ad features no price estimates, we know that V8-powered, original first-gen Chargers can go for as high as $100,000, and those are just 426-cu or 440-cu models.

This one, however, has been handled by Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop and now features a sleeker appearance and a more focused stance thanks to body, chassis and suspension mods.

Performance-oriented alterations include the Bowler 4L80E automatic gearbox, Magnum 4-link rear suspension, RideTech coilovers on all four corners, 14-inch Viper disc brakes, 18 and 19-inch wheels (front/rear), aluminum heads, Cross Ram intake with dual Edelbrock 650 cfm carburetors, Magnaflow mufflers and few others.

On the outside, the front and rear bumpers have been narrowed and flushed, with the front bumper now featuring openings “to provide air transmission and power steering coolers.” The rear bumper, on the other hand, has thin horizontal openings for the dual exhaust tips.

As for the interior, it features black leather seats that look way more supportive than the originals, but also a custom steering wheel and more traditional-looking vents.

All things considered, this is one of the cleanest first-gen Chargers we’ve ever seen, and if you’re into the whole restomod thing, then you will surely appreciate all the hard work that went into this build.
