Bidding on what is basically a brand new Dodge Challenger SRT Demon nowadays is going to cost you considerably more than its initial retail price of $84,995. Of course, with this being a drag race-focused limited edition variant, it’s easy to understand why.

In fact, just three months ago, a Challenger Demon with 1,032 miles (1,660 km) on the clock carried a $139,995 asking price.

This particular one however, getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer, shows only 9 miles (14 km), which means that it’s literally brand new – also evident from the photo gallery below. The seller is said to actually be the Vehicle Development Manager for SRT.

The Dodge Challenger Demon was in production for only a year, and this car is one of just 224 U.S. models finished in Plum Crazy Pearl. Other exterior features include the Air-Grabber hood, Air-Catcher headlights, 3.5″ fender flares, plus the front-runner drag wheels that come with the Demon Crate.

Since the muscle car was never dealer-prepped, it’s still wearing its factory covers over the cloth-upholstered seats and steering wheel. A look inside also reveals an optional passenger seat, as well as the fact that this was the 24th Challenger Demon to ever roll off the assembly line.

As for what you get with this car in terms of performance, that’s been well documented. The Challenger Demon is a straight-line beast thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine putting down 808 HP and 717 lb-ft (972 Nm) of torque on regular fuel, or 840 HP and 770 lb-ft (1,044 Nm) on 100-octane when prepped for drag racing.
