The 2021 Hyundai Elantra will be unveiled shortly at a special event at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, California. The live stream below will kick off at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. EST.

Recent teaser images published by the car manufacturer have provided us with a hint of what to expect. What’s immediately obvious is that the new Elantra will be more angular than the outgoing model with its body dominated by sharp corners, aggressive edges, and pronounced body lines and creases. It also looks as though the Elantra will be slightly longer than its predecessor in a move that’s bound to increase cabin space.

Hyundai says that the enlarged Elantra sits on a “new vehicle platform” and will return to its “sports sedan roots” with the “Parametric Dynamics” design theme.

A second teaser showcasing the car’s revised cabin shows that it too has been modified extensively and appears minimalist. There is an enlarged infotainment system and what appears to be a digital instrument cluster. Hyundai has also designed a four-spoke steering wheel for the sedan. Other features include a red accent running along the dashboard and a white transmission tunnel and grab-handle. It all looks rather nice and should be more premium than the cabin of the current Elantra.

Powertrain options for the 2021 Elantra will remain under wraps until the car premieres. However, there will likely be a host of gasoline engines offered depending on the market and perhaps even a plug-in hybrid version.
