Bollinger Motors has unveiled their new B2 Chassis Cab pickup.

Riding on the world’s first Class 3 electric truck platform, the B2 Chassis Cab can be extensively customized thanks to its open rear frame.

Bollinger imagines the truck could be used plumbers, electricians and construction workers. The company also released mockups hinting at tow trucks, bucket trucks and ambulances.

In order to accommodate all these possible variants, the B2 Chassis Cab will be available in 2- and 4-door configurations with multiple wheelbase lengths. The truck will also be offered in full cab and cutaway-cab variants.

While the truck can be tailored to meet the needs of owners, they’ll all come equipped with a 120 kWh battery pack and a dual motor all-wheel drive system. The B2 Chassis Cab also boasts a hydro-pneumatic self-leveling suspension, a 10 kW on-board charger and a 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg) payload capacity. Other highlights include portal gear hubs as well as electronic traction and stability control.

CEO Robert Bollinger said the B2 is an ideal work truck as it features a “large energy source to power tools” on the jobsite. He says this, as well as lower operating costs, will make the B2 Chassis Cab perfect for businesses large and small.

There’s no word on pricing, but the B2 Chassis Cab is slated to be launched in late 2021.

The Chassis Cab variant will be sold alongside the standard B2 which has two electric motors that produce a combined output of 614 hp (458 kW / 623 PS) and 668 lb-ft (906 Nm) of torque. This enables the truck to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds, hit a top speed of 100 mph (161 km/h) and travel approximately 200 miles (322 km) on a single charge.
